KATY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Katy ISD is a flourishing suburban school district that encompasses 181 square miles. Student enrollment has grown to more than 60,000 served by 53 schools - including six, four-year high schools. The district offers an outstanding instructional program with facilities, equipment and materials that are among the best in the state.

Students who live in the Lakeside and Creekside sections of Cross Creek Ranch attend schools in the Katy Independent School District.

Katy ISD’s newest elementary school opens for the 2012-13 school year directly across from Cross Creek Ranch.  This new school will provide students Pre-K thru 5 with a learning experience in a modern, state-of-the-art setting fitting the caliber of the Katy ISD. 

Seven Lakes Junior High School, 6026 Katy-Gaston Rd., Katy, TX 77494

Katy ISD’s newest junior high school opens for the 2012-2013 school year serving students grades 6-8. Spacious classrooms with the latest teaching technologies, state-of-the-art science labs, first-class athletic facilities round out the school's unique educational experience.

Seven Lakes High School, 9251 S. Fry Road, Katy, TX 77494

Recognized campus serving students in grades 9-12. In 2011, 100 percent of the school’s 11th grade students met or exceeded the State of Texas’ test standards in Reading, 99 percent in Science, English/Language Arts and Math.  In 2012, the school was ranked 277th in the nation out of 27,000 public high schools in the U.S. by Newsweek Magazine.  The campus is home to 21 science labs, 16 computer labs, wireless technology and a performing arts center.  It also houses a Natatorium with diving equipment, football/soccer fields, baseball fields and nine tennis courts.
