Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch Announced

August 25, 2015

Cross Creek Ranch is welcoming a new neighborhood, one designed specifically for adults age 55 and older.

Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch is a gated, 268-acre enclave that will feature waterfront homesites. Taylor Morrison will be the exclusive builder in the neighborhood.

This is Taylor Morrison’s second Bonterra development in Houston. The first, Bonterra at Woodforest, saw 2,000 home buyers tour the builder’s models when they debuted last year.

Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch is expected to offer many of the same amenities and floor plans as the Woodforest community. Woodforest also is a project of The Johnson Development Corp.

“We have the best of both worlds here – all of the amenities of a master-planned community but also the secluded feel of a Bonterra neighborhood,” said Jim Ellison, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison’s Houston division. “And much like Bonterra at Woodforest, this new Bonterra neighborhood will address the need for more lifestyle-focused, 55+ communities for Houston residents living to the west of the city.”

Rob Bamford, general manager of Cross Creek Ranch, says the new Bonterra community will appeal to an underserved segment of the west Houston population.

“The Katy and Fulshear areas are very family-oriented, and just in Cross Creek Ranch, we see numerous couples moving here to be near grandchildren,” Bamford said. “Having home designs, amenities and planned activities specifically for adults age 55 and older will be very appealing.”
