National Night Out

Bring the Whole Family Out to Meet Local Neighbors, Police Officers, Firefighters & Public Service Workers.

On Tuesday, October 5th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, bring the kids and join us at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center to learn valuable safety tips from local police officers, fire fighters and public service workers during our first “National Night Out (NNO)

NNO is a community-sponsored campaign aimed at building a stronger, safer community through heightened crime prevention awareness, while generating support for local anti-crime programs, strengthening neighborhood/police community partnerships and encouraging neighbors to get out and meet each other.

Children will experience and learn by exploring a fire truck, ambulance, and a helicopter. Safety and Law Enforcement professionals will be there to answer questions. We will have volunteers to administer/register child photo and DNA ID kits for parents to take home for safe keeping. All guests will also enjoy free hot dogs, drinks, snacks, giveaways and register for several door prizes.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a folding canvas chair and spend time visiting with your neighbors. Your extended family and guests are welcome.

We are seeking sponsors-from local businesses to offset costs for this event. For information regarding sponsorship opportunities, please click here.

Community and Resident volunteers are needed to ensure a successful event. Please contact: Donna Lamb, Tammy McCall or Charisse Guidry @ 281-344-9882.

katy-fulshear-boy-scoutsCross Creek Ranch resident Tyler Knapp, a 4th grader in the new Boy Scouts troop at Stanley Elementary, has been hard at work earning his badges.  Last month, Tyler walked the trails of Cross Creek collecting any litter he could find.

Although we all work to keep the community as clean as possible, Tyler managed to fill two bags, helping him complete a community service project to earn his Citizenship pin.  Tyler's parents, Parker and Ken Knapp, say that Tyler has always been environmentally-minded and seeks out opportunities to clean up the world around him.

If you have a young child, the scouts provide a great way to help them build character, make friends, and open doors of opportunity. Thank you for your contributions Tyler, we are proud to have you here at Cross Creek Ranch.  Keep earning those badges!

Photos from "Play it Safe" Day at Our Welcome Center

Tagged in: Kids , Fulshear , Events

The rainclouds were rolling in, but we somehow felt incredibly safe among the many rescue, medical and law enforcement professionals gathered at the Welcome Center during "Play" it Safe Day.  Chidlren were able to experience what it is like inside state-of-the-art emergency vehicles, with guided tours with real professionals who live the life every day.  As you can see from the photos, learning can be a lot of fun when you have a huge moonwalk and free pizza for everyone.
