Celebrate Your Princess

By Melissa Guerra
Cross Creek Ranch & Christus St. Catherine will be hosting the second annual Celebrate Your Princess Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, October 23 from 9am to 1pm.

Our Royal Court this year will include honorees from the area who are breast cancer survivors. Our Celebrate your Princess Walk is like no other, of course!

This is a family walk and even dogs are welcome. We will also have a Pink Pamper after-party with complimentary pampering stations. As a new addition this year, there will be a Pink Marketplace where vendors will be selling items such as jewelry, Yellow Box flip flops, and much more!

Breast Cancer Awareness WalkWould you like to be a vendor at the Pink Market?

Please fill out our vendor form. Spaces are $50 for uncovered spaces and $100 for covered spaces – limited availability

To register as a participant or vendor, click here.

We are looking forward to seeing you! Check out the photos from last year.

2nd Annual Michael T. McCann Memorial Bike RideJoin us at the Union Chappel Vineyards/Bar O Ranch on Saturday, May 15th when Fulshear will hold its highly anticipated 2nd annual Michael T. McCann Memorial Bike Ride throughout our great community.

The ride will feature a 63, 43, and 21 mile route, as well as a Pedal Pusher 3-mile ride for families with children of all ages to enjoy.

All proceeds of this family event will directly benefit the beautification of our community, as he so cherished.

Dr. Mike McCann passed away after a long, heroic battle with cancer in 2007. He will be remembered as a family man, veterinarian, sailor, grape grower, friend and mentor, who also served as chairman of the Fulshear Planning Commission for many years, dedicating much of his time to the development and growth of the city. An avid bicyclist, he spent many hours each week cycling all while undergoing treatments, a true testament to his strength and abilities.

He was an ambassador and statesman who epitomized what Fulshear means to many. A friendly town in a beautiful region, that if we all work together, will grow into a prosperous community that cherishes the simple, good things in life.

Bike for Mike is proud to support Fulshear, and will annually select a special project specifically for the beautification of the community. We look forward to seeing you in the vineyard for the after ride celebration!  For more information, visit BikeforMikeFulshear.com

stanley-elementaryStanley Elementary’s PTA raised over $30,000 at its Stetsons and Stilettos for the Stampede fall fundraiser Oct. 9 at Cross Creek Ranch. Radio personality Kevin Kline from the New 93Q Morning Zoo served as the celebrity master of ceremonies.

Cross Creek Ranch and Trendmaker Homes hosted the event at their welcome center. Decked out in everything from western attire to stilettos, guests enjoyed food donated from six local restaurants with live music from Gene Neptune and Joe Kilpatrick. The auction included six highly sought after live auction items and over 150 silent auction items donated from local businesses and various Stanley parents and faculty.

“It was amazing to see all the volunteers work tirelessly to make this event possible in just a few short months,” said PTA President Courtney Doyle. The money raised will benefit the students at Stanley Elementary, which is Katy ISD’s newest school. The campus opened this past August to students living in Cross Creek Ranch, Westheimer Lakes North and Cinco Ranch Southwest.
