This spectacular course, 7,064 yards, par 72, was designed by legendary PGA Tour Champion Hale Irwin, and the club features two lit tennis courts, two pools, and a fully-appointed pro shop.  Cross Creek Ranch Residents initiation fee is only $250 and includes a $100 credit to the pro shop or three free golf lessons.

The spacious club house at Weston Lakes Country Club is fashioned after an English manor, and includes a fully appointed pro shop, casual dining in the Waterside Grille and formal dining in the Library. The Promenade and Ballroom overlook scenic Pecan Lake.

Weston Lakes offers a staff of professionals, working to provide the high quality of service you expect at an exclusive country club. Resident memberships are available. And, for a short time, non-resident annual memberships are being offered to Cross Creek Ranch residents at a special rate. Cross Creek Ranch has teamed up with CHRISTUS St. Catherine to help fight breast cancer with the "Celebrate Your Princess" Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, October 31, 2009. The walk will begin at Cross Creek Ranch and end with a celebration to remember. Proceeds from the event will benefit the CHRISTUS St. Catherine Breast Cancer Awareness Fund, promoting community outreach, health, wellness and education.

An entire day of fun for the whole family is planned... pets are welcome too (leashed only please!). There will be tons of excitement in the Kids Zone - bounce house, rock wall, face painters and Disney princesses from KVPAC!!

The Katy Home Décor and Remodeling Show is coming to the Leonard E. Merrell Center the weekend of September 12th - 13th.  From local celebrities to tips and vendors featuring subjects that affect every homeowner, there will be something for everyone at the show.

This show will be no ordinary attraction. The rainclouds were rolling in, but we somehow felt incredibly safe among the many rescue, medical and law enforcement professionals gathered at the Welcome Center during "Play" it Safe Day.  Chidlren were able to experience what it is like inside state-of-the-art emergency vehicles, with guided tours with real professionals who live the life every day.  As you can see from the photos, learning can be a lot of fun when you have a huge moonwalk and free pizza for everyone.

A Membership Drive for the Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will be held at La Centerra in the central courtyard, Heritage Square on September 19th from 4pm to 8pm.

This event will celebrate the fun that goes along with Scouting. Booths and demonstrations will highlight events that take place in Scouts including the Pinewood Derby, Rain Gutter Regatta, Order of the Arrow, America’s Popcorn Sale, Girl Scout Cookie Sale, S.T.E.M. (science and math), Green Starlettes drill team, and the Take Note Choir as well as the skills and achievements that go with each level of Scouting.Scout leaders and Scouting representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide registration information. On Friday, August 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., bring the kids and join us at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center to learn valuable safety tips from local police officers, fire fighters and public service workers during "Play it Safe Day".  Children will experience and learn by exploring an on-site fire truck, ambulance, and Life Flight Helicopter, all present for the event. 

Rescue and safety professionals will be there to give tours and answer questions.  Fulshear Police will be present and providing child ID kits for parents who would like to register their children in their safety program. All guests will also enjoy free pizza, drinks, snacks and giveaways. It is sure to be an unforgettable event for children (and adults).

Seven Lakes High School and Woodcreek Elementary have earned the highest possible recognition in the 2009 Accountability Ratings released by the Texas Education Agency.  Both schools rated exemplary, the highest rating of the four assigned by the TEA.  Exemplary ratings were earned by only 25.8% of the Texas public schools in the report.

To earn exemplary ratings, the campus must have at least 90% of it's students meet the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) standard score on subjects such as Reading, English, Math Writing, Social Studies, and Science.  Both Seven Lakes High School and Woodcreek Junior High jumped from "recognized" in 2008 to "exemplary" in 2009.

Seven Lakes High School has ranked among the top 1,500 (6 percent) out of the approximately 27,000 public high schools in the nation in a recent Newsweek feature.  Four other Katy schools were also included on the list.  They include Katy, Taylor,and Cinco Ranch.  Seven Lakes ranked the highest among the Katy High Schools, at 403.

On Monday, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9182 (Katy, Texas) honored fallen servicemen and women with a taditional Memorial Day ceremony held at Magnolia Cemetery. 

The ceremony started with a flag raising and speeches given by Katy Mayor Don Elder, Jr. and congessman Michael McCaul.  Speeches were followed by a wreath-laying ceremony and 21-gun salute.  Taps was played on the bugle at the end of the ceremony.

Our welcome center is finally complete!  We will be celebrating our public grand opening  with a Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 9th from 11:30am - 2:30pm. Bring the whole family for activities, crafts, food, an inflatable moonwalk, games and more. 

The Houston Mobil Zoo will be there with interactive games, animal artifacts, activities, and even live animals.  Mix 96.5 will be broadcasting live and giving away prizes as well.  You and your family will be able to tour our new state-of-the-art welcome center, water park, fitness center and on-site Café.  Come see all that our community has to offer!
