Flewellen Creek Park is one of our most unique and delightful amenities, with the restoration of Flewellen Creek dubbed as “one of the most ambitious ecological restoration projects in west Houston. The second phase of creek restoration is now complete with the planting of 1,000 trees, native grasses and new trails along the reshaped section of this expansion.

Winding approximately 150 acres through the very heart of master-planned community, Cross Creek Ranch, the creek’s restored sections now cover 83 acres with more than 4,500 trees, including many lost in Hurricane Ike.  By taking cues from the surrounding environmental region, Flewellen Creek has been restored to a beautiful and balanced eco-system that provides roosting places for birds and support for wildlife.  Flewellen creek and adjacent Flewellen Creek Park produce a rich, natural centerpiece that connects the entire community as well as a natural backdrop for miles of hike and bike trails, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts and a disc golf course.  Plus, a new community swimming pool and dog park are located within walking distance of Flewellen Creek.

In 2013, the West Houston Association presented its Quality Development Award to Cross Creek Ranch for adhering to a comprehensive set of standards to ensure a high quality of living for families in Greater West Houston. At Cross Creek we just believe in placing a priority on the “natural” in our neighborhoods.
