Save the Date! 2017 Scarecrow Fest Returns Oct. 21

July 06, 2017

The thrill of victory awaits as straw champions from all walks of life take shape during the 2017 Olympic-themed Scarecrow Festival, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in Cross Creek Ranch, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane.

Creative teams in peak condition will go for the gold — and a $1,000 grand prize —in the popular scarecrow-decorating contest. Registrants will be reimbursed $100 to help offset the cost of their creations. Registration opens Aug. 1 at crosscreektexas.com/scarecrow.

The scarecrow competition is just the start! Scarecrow Fest is all about family fun – carnival rides, music, food trucks, a variety of performances and free activities including bobbing for apples, face painting and pumpkin decorating for kids. New this year is a Best of Living tent where prospective homebuyers will be able to meet with award-winning builders in Cross Creek Ranch to see the spectrum of floor plans, architectural styles, incentives and upgrades available.

The festival is free and open to the public. Wristbands for carnival rides will be $10 per person for unlimited rides.
