Keeping Busy in Bonterra

Mahjong Club at Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch

They say laughter is the best medicine and the recipe for a long life is having a close connection with people — and you get to have both in Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch where residents gather frequently to discuss books, play games and share good times.

Nearly a dozen clubs meet weekly, as residents of our 55+ community get together to play canasta, Mahjong, pickleball and more. Musicians bring their instruments for a weekly jam and the Beginner Line Dancing Club proves you’re never too old to learn something new. There are clubs just for the women and just for the men, and everyone is invited to play weekly hands of poker. (They promise no shoot-outs!)

Those not wanting a weekly commitment can take part in monthly gatherings to play games (our Bonterra residents are big on games!), discuss books, do good deeds and enjoy each other’s company.

Most of the club meetings and events are held at the Bonterra Clubhouse, a 10,000-square-foot facility that makes every day a vacation. Surrounding the clubhouse is a resort-style pool, an event lawn, fire pit, and bocce and pickleball courts.

Helping facilitate the resident groups is the on-site Director of Fun Amy Hooper. In addition to helping residents start clubs and getting the word out about meetings, Amy also hosts parties, luncheons, outings, workshops and more.

Interested in joining the fun? Homes in Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch are priced from the $220,000s.
