Fulshear — the Safest City in Texas

June 19, 2020

There are lots of reasons to live in Fulshear — excellent schools, family-friendly atmosphere and small-town ambiance just to name a few. We have one more to add to the list — safety.

Homesnacks.net ranks Fulshear as the safest city in Texas, with a crime rate that is more than 82 percent below the national average. The No. 1 ranking is an increase from last year’s rank of No. 14, even as the city continues to grow. According to FBI data the website tallied, there were just 14 violent crimes per 100,000 residents, which is six times less than the statewide average, and 442 property crimes per 100,000 residents — four times less than the Texas average.

There’s no better place to live in Fulshear than Cross Creek Ranch, where you can enjoy a bounty of natural amenities. Miles of hike-and-bike trails traverse the community, plus Flewellen Creek offers 150 acres to explore and the restored nature area is home to a balanced ecosystem of wildlife. The Polishing Pond is another place to spy wildlife and is a hot spot for birdwatching.

More fun can be had at one of three pools in Cross Creek Ranch, at the dog park or playing disc golf. An expansive fitness center is another avenue for exercise.

Add in beautiful homes from well-known builders, on-site Katy ISD schools (with a new high school opening in August), excellent nearby Lamar CISD campuses, and Cross Creek Ranch is the ideal choice for your new home.
