Cross Creek Ranch Jumps into Top 25 for Best-Selling Communities

January 12, 2017

Cross Creek Ranch joined two illustrious lists of the top 25 best-selling master-planned communities in the nation with an unprecedented increase in sales last year.

The Fulshear community jumped nine spots on the John Burns Real Estate Consulting’s yearly list, rising from No. 32 spot to No. 23. The development recorded a 13 percent increase in home sales in 2016 with 377 homes sold compared to 334 homes in 2015. Those sales numbers also earned Cross Creek Ranch a No. 22 ranking on the RCLCO top 25 list.

Overall, the top 50 communities sold more than 24,000 homes in 2016, a 9 percent increase over 2015 sales. The John Burns report cites low mortgage rates, steady job growth, improved income growth, and low resale and new home inventory levels as contributing factors in the growth.

Favorable market conditions were not the only drivers, however. The best-selling communities were those that excelled in development execution providing thoughtful amenity packages and consideration for walkability, outdoor living and social interaction.

Cross Creek Ranch more than meets the criteria with its focus on sustainability, an amenities package that includes Adventure Island Water Park with a 140-foot waterslide and a resort style pool, as well as sports courts located in Arbor Park and an on-site café.

Add in its prime location near Katy and access to highly regarded schools in the Katy Independent and Lamar Consolidated school districts, and it is easy to see why so many buyers have decided to make the community their home.

Cross Creek Ranch is one of four projects of the Johnson Development Corp. that made the list, including Woodforest in South Montgomery County and the Fort Bend communities of Riverstone and Sienna Plantation.

Homes in Cross Creek Ranch are priced from the $220,000s.
