Local Spot Brings Family Dining to Cross Creek Ranch

Attention foodies and families alike, there’s a new restaurant concept in town, and it’s ready to become your next favorite hangout spot!  Local Spot, brought to life by the team behind the beloved Local Table, has opened its doors in the heart of Cross Creek Ranch.

Located in the former Italian Maid Café at 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane right by the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, Local Spot is designed with busy families in mind, combining convenience, community and creativity in a way that feels as fresh as their menu.

And let’s talk about that menu. Crafted by executive chef and co-owner Sue Nowamooz, it’s all about giving classic bar favorites a modern makeover. Think comfort food, but with an extra pop of flavor.

Start things off with The Spot Sampler, a platter of wings, or go for the crowd-pleasing Charcuterie Board. Burgers? They’ve got you covered with options like The Spot Smash Burger. Craving something a little different? The Crab Roll and Italian Sub are ready to impress. And don’t even get us started on the pizzas.

Save room for dessert because Local Spot has playful options like Donut Holes with chocolate and raspberry dips or The Spot Ice Cream Sandwich to top off your meal.

Of course, a good meal deserves a great drink. The beverage menu features signature cocktails like the cool and crisp Cucumber Confidential and the bourbon-forward Elijah’s Summer with a Saint. Feeling adventurous? Try the exclusive Kickback, a sweet and spicy vodka cocktail with jalapeño and strawberry lemonade. Beer, seltzers, and wine lovers will also have plenty of choices.

The restaurant won’t just be a place to grab a meal. It is intended to be a hub for the Fulshear community. With themed nights like gameday watch parties, bourbon nights and family-friendly movie screenings, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

A grand opening celebration hosted by Local Spot and Cross Creek Ranch will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 and feature a DJ, food, drinks and giveaways.
