Cross Creek Ranch Plans Booming July 2

June 22, 2016

Old Glory and the birth of America will be commemorated with fun and fireworks at the Cross Creek Ranch Stars and Stripes Celebration Saturday, July 2.

The free, annual event takes place from 6-9:30 p.m. on the big hill at 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane with a variety of festive activities including a dunking booth, a pie-eating contest, face painting, a bounce house and more. Houston favorites The Grateful Geezers will rock the party with renditions of blues, R & B, rock and jazz tunes. The celebration is open to the public.

“This is one of Cross Creek Ranch’s biggest events of the year,” said Claire Perrott, the community’s lifestyle director. “Our residents really look forward to it, and it’s a great introduction to our beautiful community.”

At 9:15 p.m., Sky Wonder Pyrotechnics will light up the sky with fireworks. Attendees will be able to view when and where activities will take place during the event via a free app provided by the company.

Families are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets. Food trucks — including Tu-Go Kitchen, Cupcake and a Smile, Grab & Go Grill, Cousin Main Lobster and Anna's Greek Gourmet — will be on-site offering a range of cuisine choices for purchase.
