The cool kids will be at Cross Creek Ranch this summer building robots, drawing comic strips and whipping up street eats at some of the hottest day camps around.
Start your kids off with “Wild & Wacky Summer Fun” from June 5-13. The Arts Fulshear camp will take them from tie dye t-shirts to musical revue in just one week. The cost is $215. Or, if your kids daydream about creating the next “Caped Crusader,” sign them up for “Comic Creations” camp, July 3-7. The cost is $125. We might not be welcoming our new robot overlords just yet, but our kids can get started building them during two camps for kids ages 6 and up offered by America’s Robotic Academy. Apprentice Robotics,” set for June 12-16, teaches basic robotics. “Robots on the Rampage,” July 17-21, allows them to build a diverse range of off-road vehicles that battle other robots. Junior food truck foodies can explore the world of Frito pies, tacos and loaded fries at “Chef Academy: Food Truck Concepts” camp, July 26-30, for children ages 7-12. Budding scientists can explore galaxies, July 10-14, when they “Blast Off to Space,” — a senior camp for kids ages 9-12. “Little Builders” ages 5-7 can create boats, cars and planes July 31-Aug. 4.
