Supply Drive Helps All Kids Get Back to School

As summer winds down and the back-to-school frenzy begins, consider what you would do if you couldn’t afford even the most basic school supplies for your children.

And then consider adding a few extras to your back-to-school shopping cart and donate them during our school supply drive, now through Aug. 20.

Bring stacks of notebooks, packages of pencils and scads of scissors to the Cross Creek Ranch Community Room lobby, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane. The items will be donated to the Fort Bend Rainbow Room, which stocks emergency and transitional supplies to meet the critical needs of Fort Bend County's abused and neglected children and adults.

Last year the Rainbow Room provided 274 children with much-needed school supplies.

Items requested are:

• Notebooks
• Pencils/Pens
• Folders
• Binders
• Backpacks
• Colored Pencils
• Notecards
• Highlighters
• Scissors
