Randolph and Tompkins Make the Honor Roll

How do you make the Texas Honor Roll? By outperforming your peers. Two schools zoned to Cross Creek Ranch did and we couldn’t be prouder.

Randolph Elementary and Tompkins High School were recently named to the 2018 - 2019 Texas Honor Roll, which recognizes Texas public schools, school districts and charter systems that have demonstrated consistently high levels of student achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations. The selection process also includes measures of college readiness for high schools.

The Honor Roll was developed by Educational Results Partnership (ERP), a nonprofit organization that applies data science to help improve student outcomes and career readiness. This year, the program recognized 855 higher performing schools across the state. It is the only school recognition program in Texas based solely on objective achievement data.

Randolph Elementary is found within Cross Creek Ranch. It is one of two Katy ISD elementary schools located on-site. Randolph is no stranger to accolades having already received an A rating from Children at Risk this year.

Tompkins High School is ranked among the top 10 public high schools in Texas according to education data site Niche. com. The site also ranked Tompkins No. 19 out of 1,624 public high schools in the state.

The ranking comes on the heels of being named one of the best high schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. The school ranked No. 95 in Texas on the prestigious list, based on student performance on state-required tests and how well students are prepared for college.
