Give Back, Give Hope Wins PRISM Award

October 07, 2022

Last year, we were privileged to be able to help six Fort Bend charities with donations raised during our Give Back, Build Hope campaign. We didn’t do it for the accolades but were still very pleased to receive the Houston’s Best PRISM Award for Charitable Project of the Year.

Through the campaign, a monetary donation was made for each new home sold in November and December of 2021. Each one of the six charities — Abigail’s Place, Brookwood Community, Family Hope, Fort Bend PAWS, Rainbow Room and Texana Center — received $3,300.

We also asked members of the Fort Bend community to donate needed items for the charities, such as coloring books, puzzles, socks, paper towels, cat toys, board games and more. Dozens of boxes of items were collected and delivered to the charities.

We started our ‘give back’ campaigns in 2020 after local charities were overrun with requests sparked by the pandemic. The need was still there in 2021 so we continued to do what we could to help these charities with their good work. We’ll be doing it again later this year.

This award means so much to us because we couldn’t have done it without your support.

PRISM is an annual awards ceremony that recognizes the best-of-the-best in the building industry. In addition to winning Charitable Project of the Year, Carrie Roehling — our own Director of Marketing — was a finalist in the Marketing Professional of the Year category. Johnson Development, the developer of Cross Creek Ranch, also won the Grand Award for Developer of the Year.
