Summer Isn’t Over at Cross Creek Ranch

Just because the school bell has rung doesn’t mean summer has to be over. It certainly isn’t at Cross Creek Ranch where our residents will be engaged in a month’s worth of summertime activities.

Our highly anticipated and beloved annual Summer Family Luau kicked off August. The event took place poolside at our Adventure Island Waterpark. Residents escaped to the tropics for an evening of Polynesian-inspired food and performances by hula and fire dancers.

Nothing says summer like an outdoor movie. This month, our families will be setting up lawn chairs and laying out blankets for a showing of “DC League of Super-Pets” under the stars. It’s a great lead-up to the following day when we will be hosting Mutt Strutt.

What is Mutt Strutt? Only the most “pawsome” dog event ever! Residents will be dressing their pups to impress and gather for a celebration of our furry Fidos. There will be plenty of dog-related activities, food, music and fun for all.

Rounding out our events will be a delightful Picnic in the Park to celebrate National Eat Outside Day. Residents can pack a picnic basket or grab something from one of the delicious food trucks we’ll have onsite. While chowing down, neighbors will have an opportunity to hang out, throw a Frisbee or football and have a great time.

We believe in supporting our residents in all their endeavors. This month, we celebrated freelancers, remote workers and independent business owners during National Coworking Day at Camp Flewellen. It will be a great opportunity to make contacts, enjoy a change of scenery and collaborate.
